    Multi-Point System within the Door Bending – the DIRAK Rod Latch with Quarter-Turn

    01 Requirements

    The two most important factors when working with a rod-latch system are ease of actuation and latching integrity. Our challenge was to design a locking system with a quarter-turn that features a space-saving design and uniform sealing pressure.

    Our solution: The DIRAK rod latch with quarter-turn is an adapter for a multi-point system that requires little space within the door bending, with the insert outside of the sealing area and uniform alignment of the door in with a single actuation point.”

    02 Product advantages

    Space-saving
    For use with low-profile 12mm quarter-turn housings and intended to be used outside of the gasket area of enclosure. Low space requirement.

    Fast installation
    The DIRAK rod latch installs without tools on the outside of the QT housing.

    The DIRAK rod latch offers easy actuation and secure latching at multiple latching positions from a single actuation point.

    Flat rods install quickly and easily via DIRAK quick-fit technology

    A 90° activation process allows for a 20 mm stroke of the rods that are used

    The DIRAK rod latch with quarter-turn offers an optimum solution for a wide range of different application areas outside of the sealing area.

    Rod latch:
    Base plate: PA, black
    Driving rod, pinion and grounding nut: zinc die, untreated

    Quarter-turn:
    Housing, insert: zinc die, chrome plated or black
    Washer: steel, zinc plated
