    A smart, secure outdoor solution – The DIRAK Swinghandle RC2 for iLOQ Half Cylinder S50

    Security and Access Control

    The security of an outdoor enclosure depends greatly on the latching system used. Unauthorized access as well as environmental impacts can cause significant system downtime and repair/maintenance costs. Any of these issues can cause significant issues for companies operating these pieces of equipment.

    To help customers facing these security challenges, DIRAK has teamed up with the access control specialists at iLOQ to develop a DIRAK RC2 outdoor security handle specifically for the iLOQ S50 half cylinder. The iLOQ S50 lock cylinder requires neither batteries nor cables – a smart solution.

    Why the DIRAK RC2 Swinghandle?

    • The swinghandle is safety-tested to DIN EN 1630 RC2 and incorporates unique design features to prevent unauthorized access.
    • Integrated foam seals ensure the handle is dustproof and watertight to IP65 in accordance with DIN EN 60529’
    • A UV-resistant powder coating protects the handle from environmental damage.
    • The spring-loaded handle provides positive latching feedback to ensure closure.
    • Anti-folding device protects the dish against scratches when the handle is pushed shut.
    • An integrated escutcheon has been designed specifically to encase and protect the iLOQ cylinder.
    • A sloped design has been used to prevent dirt and debris buildup as well as limiting the handle from being used as a climbing aid.
    • The DIRAK RC2 handle for iLOQ does not include the lock cylinder. The iLOQ S50 half cylinder can be ordered from iLOQ (www.iloq.com).

    Why the iLOQ S50 Half Cylinder?

    • NFC-capable smartphones are used as the energy source for the cylinder, thus eliminating the need for batteries and cables.
    • The cylinders are designed for use in harsh environments and extreme climatic conditions and are also dustproof and watertight.
    • Access credentials to all S50 half cylinders can be managed via a user-friendly and secure software platform.
    • Conserves resources and optimizes time management.
    • Maintenance-free since neither batteries nor cables have to be replaced.

    Smart and Secure

    For those customers that are considering the iLOQ access control solution, specifically for their outdoor enclosures, we have designed an RC2 swinghhandle that can be easily combined with the iLOQ S50 half cylinder.

    The combination of weather resistance, protection against forced breaking and the latest NFC technology provides a revolutionary concept in locking technology. The iLOQ S50 is the first and only access control system in the world that supplies energy by means of an NFC-capable mobile phone. The mobile phone acts as both a key and energy source. Access credentials are managed in real time by the cloud-based iLOQ Manager. This solution offers entirely new possibilities in managing geographically remote electronic locking cylinders.

    DIRAK designed the RC2 swinghandle with an integrated escutcheon that protects the iLOQ S50 from intentional and unintentional damage. The UV-resistant powder coating also protects the swinghandle against environmental damage.

    Thanks to all these features, the RC2 swinghandle makes for a more durable outdoor solution for the iLOQ S50 than other products available.
